Weekend Kids Club
We offer clubs on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year, catering for all levels of experience in riding and pony care. The age recommendations below are a guide only, experience is more important and some children learn more quickly than others. Above all we want your child to enjoy the learning experience and to meet other children with a shared enthusiasm for horses and riding. Our riding clubs are for having fun!
Based on the B.H.S JUNIOR Progressive Tests which have both Riding and Stable Management sections, the plan is to work through the syllabi with riders gaining certificates as a mark of their learning.
There are 5 levels of Progressive Test and on achieving all levels riders should not only have a sound knowledge of basic horse/pony care but should also be able to ride with a correct balanced position at all three paces and have some knowledge of road riding when hacking.
